Vicaima has been chosen to equip the French luxury hotel brand  Sofitel (part of the Accor Hotels Group), for their latest venture Sofitel Dubai Downtown, in the United Arab Emirates.  Vicaima’s expertise was sought with a selection of specially made product solutions including doors, frames and wall panelling, which were fitted throughout the hotel complex.

The 5 star hotel overlooking the coast and set adjacent to the worlds tallest skyscraper, has been described as ‘a piece of France in Dubai’ with French styling incorporated into its 350 spacious bedrooms, 14 meeting rooms, a 600 person ballroom and multiple restaurants offering international cuisine.

Vicaima’s matching door and frame system Portaro, was specifically designed to meet the exacting technical requirements of this project, with fire resistance and acoustic performance at its heart.

Their products were incorporated within the room entrances, public and service areas as well as for the connecting doors.  In addition to doors with over panels, pairs and sliding doors, Vicaima were also responsible for supplying wall panels, furniture elements, wardrobes and skirting boards, which in the main were finished in Natural bamboo veneer, to harmonize with the modernity and elegance of the hotel.
