As innovation is the lever of the company’s growth, Vicaima has managed to achieve its goals by surprising the market with differentiated, yet environment friendly solutions.

Vicaima holds certification for the ISO 14001 environmental standard and is a member of the Tropical Forest Trust (TFT), a non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to help companies ensure a responsible management of tropical forests. Vicaima is also certified by FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®), which ensures that no illegal raw materials are introduced at any point in the supply chain or during the manufacturing process without endangering the forests.

Vicaima has implemented an internal environmental project which aims to reduce CO2 emissions with the proceeding of the following actions:
- Optimization of the residue collection system for subsequent increase in value or recycling;
- Purchase of an ecological UV line;
- Improvement of the lighting efficiency;
Since 1999, waters are treated in a Residual Waters Treatment Station (ETAR).
All of Vicaima’s human resources are involved in training actions and awareness campaigns which promote “green attitudes” as concerns the separation of materials for recycling and electric energy consumption.
