Captured Water

Water is a finite resource, and its preservation is fundamental for the present society and future generations. Promoting the efficient use of water and changing habits in its utilisation is, therefore, one of the objectives of the Vicaima Group. Focussing on this objective, in 2022 we managed to achieve a significant reduction in water consumption, with a decrease in both production processes and other uses (human consumption and social facilities). This reduction was achieved as a result of various actions implemented, including reformulation of industrial processes, optimisation of equipment for use by employees and internal awareness campaigns.

It should be noted that Vicaima Indústria has an IWTP (Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant), to which all the wastewater from the various production processes is sent for treatment and then forwarded to the municipal collector.
