Sustainable and Innovative Products

Wood and derivatives of certified or controlled origin

Wood has been at the heart of the Vicaima Group since 1959. Our vision is to transform and valorise this natural and renewable raw material, always seeking a differentiating perspective that is more sustainable and responsible towards society.

Under this guiding principle, the Vicaima Group is committed to sourcing wood products from certified forests managed in accordance with internationally recognised standards, namely FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC (The Program for the Endorsement of Forest).
Vicaima Indústria obtained FSC® certification in 2006 and was one of the first companies in its sector to adhere to this certification, which guarantees that the journey of raw materials from the forest to the end consumer is carried out responsibly and without jeopardising the forests. Globaldis and Vicaima Limited also obtained FSC® certification in 2006.

By promoting the purchase and consumption of FSC® or PEFC-certified wood, Vicaima Group companies ensure the replanting of the trees used in their production and commercialisation, safeguard biodiversity and respect the rights of local communities in forest areas. For its part, "controlled wood" means that the origin of the wood is known and that it comes from non-controversial and legal sources.

Of FSC 100%, FSC Mix or PEFC origin

Our products are labelled using the approved designation FSC 100%, FSC MIX or PEFC, based on the source material included. Most of our products on the European market are available with FSC® or PEFC certification
