Tailor-made walk-in closet systems combine precise organisation, coordinated finishes and architectural integration within this waterfront residential development in Florida.

Set beside Florida’s first aquatic preserve in Bonita Springs, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Estero Bay comprises two cascading, 22-storey waterfront towers conceived in close connection with the surrounding landscape. The development features two-, three- and four-bedroom residences with private elevators, expansive balconies and floor-to-ceiling glass framing panoramic views of the bay, pools and lagoon. Inside, soft curves, natural materials and carefully selected finishes reflect the colours and textures of Southwest Florida.

The residences form part of Saltleaf on Estero Bay, a new coastal village shaped around nature, wellbeing and an active waterfront lifestyle. The wider community brings together the Saltleaf Golf Preserve, nature trails, waterfront dining at Acqua Bistecca and Saltleaf Marina. Across the residential towers and The Oasis, an extensive collection of amenities includes three pools overlooking the lagoon and marina, spa and fitness facilities, social and private dining spaces, a Wine & Whiskey Lounge, dedicated areas for children and teenagers, and outdoor pavilions designed for relaxation and entertaining.

Within this distinctive residential setting, bespoke Transform walk-in closet solutions developed and manufactured by Vicaima were incorporated into the project. Created entirely to measure, the system responds to the generous scale of the residences and to the need for storage that combines capacity, organisation and a discreet architectural presence.

Rather than using conventional standalone cabinets, each walk-in closet was designed as an integrated composition of interconnected elements, developed around the dimensions and functional requirements of the space. Shelving, fixed hanging rails and drawers, including selected glass-fronted elements, are brought together with integrated LED lighting to create a clear, balanced and intuitive storage environment.

The project reflects a contemporary approach to the walk-in closet as a personal interior environment, where visibility, accessibility and material coherence are considered together. Transform’s flexibility made it possible to coordinate scale, composition and internal organisation while preserving a unified design language across the different residential layouts.

Customisation extended beyond configuration to the material expression of the system. Three coordinated schemes, Light, Medium and Dark, were developed to complement different interior palettes. Sand Dollar was paired with Aesthetic White for the lighter composition, Cyberspace with Knitting Needles for the medium scheme, and Cobble Brown with Colonnade Gray for the darker option. Applied across the main structure, trims, drawers and shelves, the complementary lacquered finishes introduce measured contrast while maintaining visual continuity.

Careful alignment, precise junctions and a consistent rhythm between vertical and horizontal elements reinforce the sense of order that defines the closets. Their tailored proportions allow storage to become part of the spatial composition, supporting everyday routines without interrupting the calm character of the bedrooms and adjoining areas.
