At Vicaima Group, it is a strategic priority to adopt policies and practices aimed at promoting the sustainability of natural resources, the preservation of biodiversity and respect for the rights of local communities in forest areas. To this end, we prioritise the procurement of wood from certified forests managed in line with internationally recognised standards, namely FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Both systems ensure that the wood purchased comes from responsibly managed forests and that its trade complies with strict environmental, social, and economic criteria. Vicaima Indústria obtained FSC® certification in 2006, becoming one of the first companies in its sector to adopt this standard. Globaldis and Vicaima Limited were also certified in 2006, followed by Vicaima Puertas in 2021.
We operate in full compliance with the European Timber Regulation (EUTR), which requires that all timber and timber products placed on the European Union market originate from legal and sustainable sources. In this context, the adoption of a structured and consistent Due Diligence System (DDS) enables us to ensure that the materials we procure are traceable back to their origin, allowing us to work with suppliers who ensure high standards of sustainability and legality.
In parallel, we are also preparing for our transition to the new European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which imposes an even more rigorous assessment of risks associated with supply chains and the origin of raw materials.
The Vicaima Group’s commitment goes beyond mere compliance with current legislation. In this regard, we align our actions with the most stringent international standards of social and environmental responsibility, implementing responsible, ethical, and transparent practices throughout our entire value chain.

Our products are labelled using the approved designation FSC 100%, FSC MIX or PEFC, based on the source material included. Most of our products are available as FSC® or PEFC certified.
At Vicaima Indústria, the number of FSC® C023807 doors globally accounted for 72% of the total number of doors sold in 2023, reflecting an increase of 2% on the previous year.
At Vicaima Limited, for the United Kingdom market, 100% of the doors sold are FSC® certified in accordance with the regulations and legislation specific to this market, which contributes to a more sustainable development of the construction sector.
